We are a family deeply rooted in agriculture, with a lifetime of experience in raising and caring for a wide variety of animals, from small pets to diverse livestock. Horses have been a central part of our lives for many years, and recently, we expanded our passion for animal care to include raising our own meat for both our family and our community. Our goal is to raise hardy animals with higher nutritional value, ensuring they live their best lives on pasture. As devoted animal lovers, it’s important to us that our animals thrive and live well before they nourish us.

Bennett Rock Ranch began with a focus on performance horses, but we soon branched out into producing farm-fresh products. We continue to diversify as we discover new passions and products to offer.

One of our first additions was free-range chickens. They live in a mobile coop that we move around the property weekly, giving them access to fresh pasture. While we occasionally close the coop at night for their safety, we believe that happy, free-range chickens produce the best farm-fresh eggs.

We also added Idaho Pasture Pigs to our ranch and became a registered breeder with the Idaho Pasture Pigs Registry. We chose these pigs because they thrive on pasture, and unlike other breeds, they don’t root as much, which helps preserve the land. This is particularly important as we plan to introduce cattle and want to avoid potential hazards like holes in the ground. Raised primarily on a diet of grass, alfalfa, and a small amount of hand-fed grain, these pigs produce nutrient-dense, marbled meat that is redder and more flavorful than typical grocery store pork.

Nigerian dwarf goats were our next addition, chosen for their small size and impressive milk production. Their milk is rich in fat, making it perfect for creating silky-smooth soaps and lotions, especially for sensitive or dry skin. Plus, they’re irresistibly cute! Our goats have plenty of personality, with two in particular, Flip Flop and Skunkers, who don’t seem to know they’re goats at all. They love car rides, help us feed the other animals, and even enjoy spending time indoors. Flip Flop is a little couch potato, while Skunkers can often be found lounging in the cat tree with our cats. We affectionately refer to these two as our 'Ranch Goats.
